Cherokee Creek Farm | Alison & Nick's Spring Historic Farmhouse Wedding

Alison and Nick's wedding took place at Cherokee Creek Farm in Jonesborough, TN on May 25, 2024. The day started with rain in question for the cermony time. It was a last minute decision to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony. If it rained, we were just going to embrace it. It was such a beautiful back drop it was worth risking! Turns out the day was filled with beautiful storm clouds without a drop of rain.

Alison and Nick's love story was one that spanned across many states and milestones. Both in the medical field and Nick a veteran - this couple was one of the kindest, most caring couples I have had the pleasure of working with. Their familes traveled across many states to come share this day with them. The energy they brought with them was unmatched.

I started the day with some detail shots. Although details shots may not be something you hang on your wall or even look at as the years go by, I think they are incredibly important. You spend so much time and energy making decisons about those small details. I want you to be able to look back at your gallery 20 years from now and see those details that made it to the final wedding day. Those are the details that tie everything together.

Getting ready was filled with laughter as they shared memories and shared excitement for today.

Alison and Nick wanted to prioritze enjoying cocktail hour and their reception with their friends and family. We made sure everyone was ready early so we could do all of the photos ahead of time. They shared a first look together. We took couple's photos afterwards around the property and inside of the historic farmhouse. We got bridal party and family photos out of the way so after the ceremony they could just have fun and socialize.

Their ceremony was absolutely stunning. The sun came out as her father walked her down the aisle. The officiant shared a thoughtful, personal message before they said their "I do's."

We all headed over to cocktail hour. I walked around and photographed all the guests in attendance. It was then time for their entrance and first dances. One thing that I really love about Alison is this woman's taste for music. It was literally like she was playing my personal playlist so her entrance and first dance choices were perfection. One the dance floor opened that is when the real party began. Once again, her playlist had me singing and dancing along the whole night. It was truly such a fun day to be a part of. I will always remember it as one of my favorites. I wish you all the best!!
